The Franchise Resale Ready valuation is $995. It is designed to give you a supportable view of value and a clearer understanding of the financial and business factors that affect buyer interest.
We generally request recent tax returns, profit-and-loss statements, year-to-date or trailing-12-month financials, details about owner compensation and potential add-backs, and information about operations, staffing, customers, and the franchise relationship.
We normalize historical earnings, estimate Seller's Discretionary Earnings where appropriate, evaluate risk and transferability, and review relevant market multiples and comparable opportunities. The final opinion is not based on revenue alone.
Add-backs are qualifying expenses that may be added to reported profit to show the economic benefit available to one owner-operator. They must be supportable and may include certain owner compensation, discretionary expenses, or nonrecurring costs. Not every expense qualifies.
No. It is a business valuation opinion intended to help with resale planning and expected offer ranges. It is not a certified appraisal and should not be used for litigation, tax, estate, or other legal purposes.
No. Many owners begin with a valuation years before selling so they can identify weaknesses, improve earnings quality, reduce owner dependency, and prepare cleaner records.
Your initial conversation is confidential. We coordinate with the franchisor when appropriate and authorized, recognizing that an eventual transfer typically requires franchisor involvement and approval.
The marketing package is $995. If the business sells through the engagement, the success fee is 8% of the transaction value, subject to a $15,000 minimum success fee. Exact terms are controlled by the executed engagement agreement.
No. Our standard representation is non-exclusive, giving owners flexibility while receiving professional marketing and transaction support. The signed agreement explains how fees apply to buyers and transactions.
We use discreet opportunity descriptions, control the release of identifying information, and seek confidentiality commitments before sharing sensitive details. Absolute confidentiality cannot be guaranteed, but the process is designed to reduce unnecessary exposure.
Marketing may include appropriate business-for-sale channels, targeted buyer outreach, industry relationships, internal buyer contacts, and other suitable sources. The mix depends on the business, market, and confidentiality needs.
We review buyer motivation, experience, financial capacity, financing plans, timing, and preliminary franchise fit. The franchisor and any lender conduct their own independent review and make their own decisions.
Timing varies widely based on price, earnings, location, industry, documentation, buyer demand, financing, lease terms, and franchisor requirements. No specific sale timeline can be guaranteed.
Usually, yes. Franchise agreements commonly require franchisor approval and may include transfer fees, training, financial qualifications, new agreements, upgrades, or other conditions. Your franchise agreement and franchisor control the exact requirements.
The transaction normally proceeds through due diligence, financing, lease or real-estate matters, franchisor approval, definitive agreements, and closing. We help coordinate the moving parts, but legal, tax, and financial advice should come from your licensed advisors.
All service details, fees, triggers, obligations, exclusions, and cancellation terms are governed by the applicable written agreement. Nothing on this page is legal, tax, accounting, lending, or investment advice.
Every business and franchise system is different. Schedule a confidential conversation so we can discuss your goals, timeline, and situation.
